Draft Bermuda Plan 2008

The Minister of the Environment and Sports declared that the Draft Bermuda Plan 2008 is
operative as of 6 June 2008, which is known as 'Commencement Day.'

The Draft Bermuda Plan 2008 has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Part III of the
Development and Planning Act 1974. The Plan covers all of Bermuda with the exception of the
City of Hamilton, which has its own Development Plan. The Draft Bermuda Plan 2008 aims to
effectively manage Bermuda's natural and built environment, resources and development in a
sustainable way which best provides for the environmental, economic and social needs of the
community.

The Draft Bermuda Plan 2008 includes the three documents, which are available for sale from the
Department of Planning in hardcopy or CD format. Alternatively, you may download these
documents free of charge from this website.
